In and around of Sa-Cabaneta
Our hotel is situated in a small romantic valley in Sa Cabaneta
From this optimal location you can reach many sightseeing areas, beaches or typical Majorcan villages easily - and also some of our insider tip restaurants.
Directly on the main road in Sa Cabaneta you will find the typical bar-restaurant "Can Marcal" which serves quality fresh meat and fish menus at affordable prices. We highly recommend their famous lamb shoulder, and homemade herbas (herbal liquor) which is a guarantee for a very cozy evening.
Also in the village (across from the church) you will find an Italian and one of the best Chinese restaurants on the island.
Santa Maria
Only 5 km away from Son Caulelles is the village of Santa Maria with an abundance of bars and excellent restaurants, like the Can Calet. Further information may be found under www.cancalet.net .
Another excellent island restaurant is the Es Moli de Torrent, between Santa Maria and Bunyola, which is owned and operated by the family Himbert. Since this restaurant is very popular with the locals and tourist alike reservations are recommended and we would be delighted to assist you with this. More information under www.molidestorrent.de .
The Antica Roma - an Italian restaurant - is also known for its delicious Pizza in a very cozy atmosphere which can be a good alternative to Spanish Food.
Palma
Just 10 km away from Sa Cabaneta by motorway you can reach the heart of Palma in less than 15 minutes. The capital offers more than 150 restaurants ranging from international menus to typical Mallorquin restaurants. Most of these restaurants are located at romantic plazas and main streets - but many others may be only found in the tiny little side streets in historical downtown of Palma.
Some which we would recommend are located in the quarter of Santa Catalina, the insider-place for the native Mallorquins.
The restaurant Picasso offers Fusion Cuisine, owned by Michael Relijic and is one of the first addresses for Sushi-Gourmet - but it is also recommended for its multifaceted asian/arabic cuisine. More information under www.restaurante-picasso.eu
The restaurant Monolisto right across the Catalina-Market always offers fresh fish and we especially recommend the Pimiento de Patrón. For vegetarians there is a wide range of good and healthy salads. International guests will enjoy a very pleasent flair where the prices are very reasonable. Be sure to ask the chef for their special red wine ¨Regalo". At this restaurant you will find the Mallorca pure - but only from 21:30 onward.
Can Pedro in Genova, since many years the top grill restaurant with Mallorquin cuisine. Our recommendation would be the lamb in milk and the ox from the hot stone. The restaurant is easily reached in less than 20 minutes by the motorway. Find more information under www.mesoncanpedro.com .
Portixol
Portixol, the old fisherman's harbor has developed into a very exquisite area. An absolute insider tip, is to have breakfast while enjoying the summer sea breeze - walking the promenade in the evening and then finishing the day off in one of the many cozy restaurants.
Here we would like to recommend the Barco, a very chic and trendy restaurant with fresh food served daily. All information may be found under
www.grupo-barco.com . Please feel free to ask us to make reservations for you, since this location is also very popular with the locals.
